ABOUT MY PROJECT
I am a student of MA Fashion, and I also majored in Fashion(women's wear) during my undergraduate study. My project is called Love that Never loses Contact, which is a project to explore the relationship between mother and child. Based on the investigation of parent-child relationship, the psychological connection between mother and child is a natural bond of family affection. This is the development of a child's sense of independence. At the same time, children who rely on breast milk in infancy can grow up to be lactose intolerant (like myself), and just as they became rebellious by clinging to their mothers when they were young, I feel that our rebellious period in adolescence is full of thorns and we need something to wrap us around.
The functional area and design of the belt can wrap the whole body, which I think is very consistent with the design concept of my project. By boiling milk and recording the color changes during drying, the absorption and conversion process of milk is simulated by the human body. Because bio-fabrics are sustainable, I researched books and websites on the subject, and compared to synthetic fabrics, bio-fabrics often have a lower environmental impact because they use relatively less energy and water during production and are able to reduce reliance on chemicals. As a result, bio-fabrics are considered a sustainable option that can help push the fashion industry in a more environmentally friendly and sustainable direction. After learning to make biological fabric for several weeks, I did four experiments with different concentrations, and finally made a large piece. The follow-up development is still in progress. Plan several controlled experiments with different textures. Regarding the multifunctional aspect of the project, each piece of my design is connected with a zipper, which can be easily connected or removed with other parts or accessories. This design makes the assembly and disassembly of the product simpler and more flexible, and can be personalized or adjusted for different functions as needed. Technically, I chose this breathing regular texture, which is very nice to make and time-consuming. This is my production step, which can be applied to the detailed design. The fabrics I currently choose are linen, elastic mesh fabric, and my color plate is a color change similar to the texture of skin, as well as a color that sets off the dark color. I want to create the visual effect of my garment technically, I choose this breathing regular texture, which is very good and time-consuming to produce. This is my production step, which can be applied to the detailed design to enrich the picture. For the target customer demographic of this collection, the clothing design of this collection is more inclined to be neutral from a female point of view, and can be worn by both men and women regardless of gender. And psychological burden, and provide corresponding emotional value to the target group. At NTU, I developed my clothing making skills, mainly from womenswear to gender-neutral and non-sexist structural development, which exercised my production skills and thinking abilities. After completing the master's degree in Fashion, I hope to establish my own fashion brand and establish my own brand image through unique design concepts and high-quality products. I hope to have the opportunity to obtain more resources and platforms to further improve my design level and industry influence.
